HC Truck & Dog Drivers – Newcastle
The Role
Hornby Transport Services is seeking HR/HC drivers for roles based in Port Kembla, servicing various clients. You will be part of the company's commitment to safety, sustainability, and efficiency. The positions are on night shift with a 12-hour roster, including weekends, with penalties paid on all overtime hours. Training will be provided, and there is an opportunity for career progression. **Responsibilities:** * Actively participate and commit to safety standards and Chain of Responsibility (COR) requirements. * Operate rigid heavy vehicles within customer sites to safely deliver various freight. * Conduct daily pre-start checks on vehicles and equipment. * Communicate effectively with other employees and supervisors. **Requirements:** * A strong commitment to safety. * Ability to safely manage fatigue. * High-quality customer service and communication skills. * Experience with or willingness to learn in-cab technology. * Experience on loaders and excavators is highly regarded. * Ability to meet employment criteria including a driver history check and pre-employment medical (drug and alcohol test). * Provide a relevant state licence history (RMS NSW print out).
