HC/MC Interstate Tipper Drivers – Newcastle
The Role
# Hornby Transport Services is now recruiting Hornby Transport Services is seeking HC/MC drivers to fill Tipper and B-Double tipper interstate positions based out of Newcastle and Wollongong. You## Key Responsibilities: * Safely transport various freight interstate. * Participate in and commit to safety standards and COR requirements. * Operate HC/MC configurations to deliver freight in a safe and timely manner. * Perform daily pre-start checks on vehicles and equipment. * Comply with HTS Operations, Policies, and Procedures. * Restrain loads using chains, ratchet chains and straps (Flat Tops). * Manage fatigue in line with relevant fatigue guidelines. ## What we are looking for: * Impeccable safety record with at least 2 years of heavy vehicle driving experience. * Commitment to safety. * Good understanding of load restraint. * Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility and Road Transport Legislation. * Ability to safely manage fatigue. * High-quality customer service and communication skills. * Experience with or willingness to learn in-cab technology. ## What we offer: * Attractive km rate with above award loading/unloading rates. Drivers earn on average between $120k to $150k per annum. * Work with a modern fleet and state-of-the-art technology. ## Application Requirements: * Relevant state licence history (RMS NSW print out) upon application. * Successful applicants will be required to meet Hornby Transport Services employment criteria, including a driver history check and full pre-employment medical which includes a drug and alcohol test.
