HC/MC Truck Drivers – Newcastle

Hornby Transport Services is seeking HR/HC drivers for roles based in Port Kembla, servicing various clients. The positions involve night shifts on a 12-hour roster, including weekends, with penalties paid for all overtime hours. There is an opportunity for career progression within the business, with all necessary training provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Actively participate and commit to safety standards and Chain of Responsibility (COR) requirements.
• Operate rigid heavy vehicles within customer sites, ensuring safe and timely delivery of freight.
• Conduct daily pre-start checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Effectively communicate with other employees and supervisors.

Candidate Requirements:

• A strong commitment to safety.
• Ability to safely manage fatigue.
• High-quality customer service and communication skills.
• Experience with or willingness to learn in-cab technology.
• Experience on loaders and excavators will be highly regarded.

Applicants will be required to meet Hornby Transport Services' employment criteria, including a driver history check and a full pre-employment medical, which includes a drug and alcohol test. All applicants must provide a relevant state licence history (RMS NSW print out).
