Interstate MC/HC Drivers
The Role
# Murrell Freight Services | Interstate MC/HC Drivers – Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne Murrell Freight Services is a well-established, Wollongong-based family business operating since 1972, serving the Illawarra region's road freight and logistics industry. We are seeking Heavy Vehicle Truck Drivers for our Interstate Transport Team. This permanent full-time role reports directly to the Transport Manager and involves: * Safely operating heavy vehicles (trucks and trailers) to transport freight across interstate routes. * Adhering to assigned routes and schedules for timely delivery and pickup. * Assisting with safe and efficient loading and unloading, ensuring compliance with load restraint regulations. * Maintaining accurate documentation, including logbooks and fuel/toll receipts. * Conducting daily pre-trip inspections. * Following all road safety rules. * Collaborating with the transport manager and team to support logistics operations. ## Benefits: * Above Award kilometer rate calculated on actual distance travelled once you have left the yard + Allowances. * Top-of-the-range equipment with regular in-house cleaning and maintenance. * Secure and ongoing employment with weekly pay. * 24/7 team support and ongoing Training and Development. * Uniforms supplied. ## About You: * Valid MC license and a clean driving record (HC licenses will be considered). * Road train experience preferred but not essential. * Experience in a variety of freight types and load restraint systems. * Strong time management skills and thorough knowledge of traffic laws and regulations. * Experience or ability in operating onboard reporting technology (tablet). * Proactive in maintaining vehicle safety and compliance with company policies and legal requirements. * Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively. * Strong focus on safety and compliance with NHVAS Mass, Maintenance, and Fatigue protocols. Applicants based outside the Illawarra region will be considered depending on location.
