The Role
Heywood Freightlines is seeking experienced MC Interstate Linehaul Operators to join their team in Melbourne. This full-time, long-term position involves driving late-model Kenworths on the Adelaide–Melbourne route, with occasional runs to Sydney or Brisbane. The company operates a strict '1 truck = 1 driver' policy, encouraging drivers to take ownership of their unit. Heywood Freightlines specializes in B-double tautliner operations and prioritizes professionalism and pride in their work. **Key Responsibilities:** * Operating late-model Kenworth trucks. * Consistent linehaul runs between Adelaide and Melbourne (occasionally Sydney/Brisbane). * Adhering to load restraint protocols. * Accurate paperwork and trip documentation. **Requirements:** * MC Licence. * 2+ years of B-double experience. * 2+ years of Road Ranger experience. * Neat and professional presentation. * Clear understanding of load restraint. * Strong attention to paperwork and trip documentation. * Valid Commercial Driver Medical. * BFM accreditation (or willingness to obtain). * Licence history report. * Must be an Australian citizen. **Benefits:** * Excellent pay rates and conditions. * Late model Kenworths. * 1 truck per driver – no swapping. * Supportive leadership and dispatch teams. * Long-term, secure full-time employment. * A role that values skills and consistency.
