Transport Manager – Sydney NSW
The Role
K&S Freighters, a cornerstone of Australian logistics since 1945 and part of the ASX-listed K&S Corporation, is seeking a Transport Manager for their Sydney operations. This role involves overseeing and optimizing all aspects of transport operations to ensure safety, compliance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. The successful candidate will report to the State Manager and will be responsible for managing complex fleet operations, leading teams, and driving continuous improvement. **Key Responsibilities:** * Lead with a commitment to safety for all involved in operations. * Deliver exceptional, cost-effective customer service, including managing client interfaces. * Liaise with internal and external senior management and stakeholders. * Lead, manage, and motivate your team for optimal outcomes. * Oversee various transport operations, including Interstate Road & Rail and local distribution. * Implement process improvements and change management applications. * Manage financial cost control, P&L ownership, and KPI reporting. * Handle HR-related matters at first contact, including ER/IR issues. * Possess a sound understanding of Chain of Responsibility, WHS/OHS, NHVL, and heavy vehicle regulations. **Requirements:** * Proven relevant experience in a senior transport/logistics leadership role. * Demonstrated experience as an inspirational leader with highly developed interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, including effective engagement, negotiation, and influencing ability. **Benefits:** * Competitive remuneration commensurate with experience. * Employee Assistance Program, including financial wellness guidance. * Novated car lease option. * Corporate Health Plan Discount. * Multi-divisional career pathways. * Parental Leave. * Salary sacrifice options. * Growth and development opportunities.
