Experienced HC/MC Dangerous Goods Driver
The Role
Chemtrans, a division of K&S Freighters, is seeking an experienced HC/MC Dangerous Goods Driver to join their projects team in Melbourne in a casual capacity. This role is ideal for semi-retired professionals or those seeking flexible work. You will handle local, linehaul, and country routes, including container and rail deliveries.
Responsibilities:
- Complete deliveries and secure loads safely.
- Conduct pre-start vehicle checks.
- Adapt to changing operational needs.
- Accurately complete required documentation.
- Operate and maintain equipment per company policy and safety standards.
- Provide professional customer service.
- Ensure equipment is operational and maintained.
- Uphold all health and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Valid MC/HC licence.
- Australian citizenship for security clearance.
- Ability to successfully complete police and ASIO checks.
- Successful pre-employment medical outcome.
- Baseline or NV1 Security Clearance (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
- Hold or be willing to obtain an explosives and dangerous goods licence.
- Hold MSIC or willingness to obtain.
- Rail and port induction a plus.
- Side loader, SSAN Explosives transport experience preferred.
- Reach stacker and side loader experience beneficial.
- Experience with local, country, and interstate deliveries.
