Phoenix Trucking Co is seeking an experienced MC Interstate Operator for a full-time position based in Canberra. This role offers straightforward interstate linehaul work with consistent kilometres, quality equipment, and a one-truck-one-driver policy.

About the Opportunity

Operate a cab-over Kenworth with a manual gearbox, running tautliner freight on regular routes between Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide, with occasional Brisbane runs. Most work involves unload and reload in the same yard, making for a clean, efficient linehaul role with minimal complications. A Canberra-based driver is strongly preferred.

• Full-time MC position
• 3500 – 5500 km per week
• One man / one truck policy
• Monthly RDO + all allowances paid

The Equipment

• Cab-over Kenworth
• Manual gearbox (Road Ranger style operation)
• Tautliner trailers

The Work

• Interstate linehaul from Canberra
• Regular runs to: Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, occasional Brisbane
• Mostly unload and reload within the same depot
• Clean freight and efficient turnarounds

Role Requirements

To be successful, you will have:

• MC Licence (required)
• Strong manual gearbox experience
• Proven interstate or linehaul experience
• Reliable work ethic and professional attitude
• Ability to work independently
• Canberra-based drivers highly regarded
