McCabe Transport | Local & Interstate MC Truck Drivers + Diesel Mechanic – Wollongong

McCabe Transport is looking for experienced transport professionals to join their growing Wollongong-based operation. Established in 1996, McCabe Transport specializes in bulk haulage, scrap steel, agricultural products, gravel, and tanker work. They are NHVR and Trucksafe accredited.

Current Positions Available:

1. MC Powder Tanker Driver

• Role: Bulk powder tanker work in single and B-Double combinations.
• Location: Based out of Unanderra depot.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday with some weekend work; away from home 4–5 nights per week.
• Equipment: Modern Kenworth SAR 610 trucks, fitted with bunk, air conditioning, and microwave.
• Requirements: Boral & Cement Australia induction preferred; tanker experience preferred but training can be provided.

2. MC Interstate Driver

• Role: Interstate tipper work running NSW, QLD & Newcastle routes.
• Equipment: Driving Kenworth SAR 909 & SAR 610 trucks. Trucks fitted with bunk, microwave, fridge, and air conditioning.
• Requirements: Dangerous Goods Licence required.
• Compensation: Weekly pay; ability to earn over $200,000 per year.
• Perks: Opportunity to keep truck at home on weekends.

3. MC Scrap Metal Driver

• Role: Country NSW runs returning into Sydney. Regular work from Canberra, Newcastle, and Western NSW.
• Equipment: Modern Kenworth SAR 610 fleet. Trucks fitted with bunk, microwave, and air conditioning.
• Compensation: Excellent earning potential exceeding $120,000 annually.
• Perks: Drivers may keep truck at home if living outside the area.

4. Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic

• Role: Join the workshop team for vehicle servicing, inspections, repairs, fault diagnosis, and troubleshooting.
• Equipment: Maintenance of Kenworth, Western Star, tippers, and tanker fleet.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday work with overtime available.
• Requirements: Qualified Diesel Mechanic, Current NSW Driver Licence, Own tools, Previous heavy vehicle experience, Ability to work within a team.
