Transport Manager – Sydney NSW
The Role
K&S Freighters, a cornerstone of Australian logistics since 1945 and part of the ASX-listed K&S Corporation, is seeking a Transport Manager to join their team in Sydney. The role involves overseeing and optimizing all aspects of transport operations, ensuring safety, compliance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. The successful candidate will demonstrate skills in complex fleet management, team leadership, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and committing to safety.
- Delivering cost-effective customer service and managing client interface.
- Liaising with senior management and stakeholders.
- Leading, managing, and motivating a team.
- Overseeing various transport operations, including Interstate Road & Rail and local distribution.
- Applying process improvement and change management.
- Managing financial cost control, P&L ownership, analysis, KPIs, and reporting.
- Handling HR-related matters.
- Possessing a sound understanding of Chain of Responsibility, WHS/OHS, NHVL, and heavy vehicle regulations.
Applicants should have proven experience in a senior transport/logistics leadership role and demonstrated inspirational leadership, strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, including effective engagement, negotiation, and influencing ability.
