Transport Manager
The Role
K&S Freighters, part of the ASX-listed K&S Corporation, is seeking a Transport Manager for their Sydney operations. This role involves overseeing and optimizing all aspects of transport operations, ensuring safety, compliance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a senior transport/logistics leadership role, with strong skills in fleet management, team leadership, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and commitment to safety.
- Delivering exceptional cost-effective customer service.
- Liaising with internal & external senior management and stakeholders.
- Leading, managing, and motivating your team.
- Overseeing various transport operations, including Interstate Road & Rail and local distribution.
- Process Improvement & Change Management applications.
- Financial cost control, P&L ownership, analysis, KPI measurements, and reporting.
- Experience handling HR related matters at first contact, including ER/IR.
- A sound understanding of Chain of Responsibility, WHS/OHS, NHVL, and heavy vehicle regulations.
